Heidi French - Teacher / Pre-K Class

Bio :
A wife and mother of two young sons, I have earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, graduating St. Lawrence University Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Psychology. I then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Teaching at SUNY Potsdam and to obtain my NYS Teaching Certification for Pre-K through 6th grade.
My first classroom teaching experience took place in a small, private school. My first year involved teaching in a Pre-K/Kindergarten combined classroom and my second year in a Kindergarten classroom. More recently, I have been a substitute in the Massena Central School District for six years, serving as a relief teacher on a daily basis and in many long-term assignments. I have been teaching at Massena Nursery School since the fall of 2010 and am enjoying working in and continuing to develop our Pre-K program for four year olds. One of my favorite things about working at Massena Nursery School is having the freedom to use my creativity in my lesson planning and to seeing the progress my young students make throughout the year. Every year is busy and fun and full of wonderful new experiences!
